Job Description
We are looking for a creative and locally-minded Head Chef for the main operations of our hotel in Cuba. We are seeking a chef who can blend Caribbean flavors with international cuisine. **Responsibilities:** - Menu planning and development - Managing and training the kitchen team - Maintaining food quality and safety standards - Cost control and inventory management - Designing menus for special events and banquets **Work Environment:** An opportunity to work in a tropical paradise in Cuba, in a kitchen full of fresh seafood and exotic fruits.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional kitchen experience, at least 3 years in a Chef position - Culinary Arts diploma or equivalent - International culinary experience (Mediterranean, Caribbean, Latin American cuisines are an advantage) - HACCP and food safety certifications - Creative menu development skills - Team management and leadership skills - Knowledge of Spanish is preferred
